Gothic tales, rotten to the core. This fall, LOCALS ONLY, our recurring screening of short films from Georgia’s independent filmmakers, is showcasing stories about things that go bump in the night. Each event has a distinct theme and focus. Featured short films come entirely from submissions. Does your film tell an unnerving folk tale? Explore creatures hidden deep in the forest? Or decode the past of a restless soul keeping the living awake at all hours of the night? Bring us madness, decay, and dread.
Fall 2026 LOCALS ONLY Presents: Lost In The Shadows. This fall, we're looking for films of what was once buried becoming resurrected. Whether it's a southern gothic tale of what lurks in a small town, a nostalgic look at the frights of yesteryear, or a dark romantic tale with a centuries-old beast, we want the gloomy mansions, family curses, found artifacts, and ghost stories with roots. Submitted films must be at least partially filmed in Georgia AND directed by a director who resides in Georgia. Maximum runtime is 20 minutes.
