ATLANTA FILM SOCIETY/FESTIVAL CODE OF CONDUCT

It is important to remember that during your time at the festival you are a representative of the Atlanta Film Festival. The following are guidelines and standards that we will expect from all employees, guests, attendees and volunteers.

Respect

Treat all individuals with a sense of dignity, respect, and worth. Make a personal commitment to be nonjudgmental about cultural differences, living conditions and the lifestyle of each person with whom you encounter. Be courteous and polite in all of your actions.

Avoid profane/abusive language and disruptive behavior that is dangerous to self and others.

Abstain from the use of photo, audio or video recording equipment unless given consent. Abstain from frivolous screen time and over usage of cell phones during any screening/workshop. Be aware that as an attendee, your interactions with other guests and patrons can have both a positive or negative effect on that relationship.

Respect all confidential information. The Atlanta Film Society respects any confidential information that is given and we ask you maintain the same standard.

Do not pressure anyone to accept your political, cultural, or religious beliefs.

Personal Responsibility + Professionalism

It is important to remember that we are focused on celebrating the films and filmmakers of the Atlanta Film Festival. The festival is a great opportunity to network and make connections but we ask that you do so with respect to boundaries. This means passing out personal business cards and discussing personal projects is encouraged but do not solicit unwelcomed interactions. In the event of any complaints of solicitation or harassment the parties named will be dismissed from screening/event or entire festival.

Avoid conflict of interest situations and refrain from actions that may be perceived as such. Attendees should reveal any potential or actual conflicts of interest as they arise to an ATLFF staff member.

If at any point you receive any email/call/text that you feel is inappropriate, for any reason, and you believe you have received it in conjunction with your involvement with the ATLFS, please forward the email and other details about the communication to feedback@atlantafilmfestival.com.
