Join Amy Herdy, the award-winning director of our Art Farm Showcase Film, Parrot Kindergarten, in an intimate, inspiring creator-filmmaker conversation led by Serenbe neighbor acclaimed director, producer, and screenwriter Tina Gordon. Tina’s latest project is an adaptation of the book Blackout for a Netflix Original Series in partnership with Higher Ground and Temple Hill.

Join us for the launch evening of our first Art Farm Showcase Film. You’ll screen a very special documentary, Parrot Kindergarten, about a woman raised in a cult who sets off on a healing journey by teaching her parrot to read and ultimately stuns the scientific world. The impact of this movie will be far-reaching; changing our understanding of animals and their emotional lives forever.

After the screening, you’ll meet award-winning director Amy Herdy and the star of the film, Jen Taylor-O’Connor, in what is sure to be a heartwarming, interactive Reel Conversation led by Serenbe neighbor and award-winning executive producer Sheri Salata.
