Currents

Currents has been an amazing experience for me. I've met several incredible people and learned a variety of information about all kinds of production. Currents has connected me to composers, animators, editors, prop makers and many people. I feel like I get a taste of every little aspect of the industry and I get to meet industry professionals that can answer my questions. Currents opened up new avenues of film production I've never even considered. I originally wanted to be a basic live action feature film director or "something like that." After a visit to a post production house call "Tube", a tour of Turner Broadcasting, and a chat with an animator, I'm considering working in a post production house or working on an animated TV show.

“As a bonus, each meeting is set in a new location around Atlanta and it's always a place I never would have gotten a chance to experience otherwise. Overall, Currents is a great program for educating and connecting young filmmakers. I'm thankful to be given the opportunity to be a part of it.” -Derek W.

PA Academy

“Thank you for such an informative class. I learned so much about becoming a PA. Your willingness to share your wealth of knowledge is priceless! Chuck Thomas from ATL Film Chat told me to take your class over a year ago. I'm so glad I did! I'm ready to come up with a plan to transition out of my corporate job and into the film/television industry.” - Melanie M.

“I enjoyed my time at the PA Academy immensely, and I know others in the class feel exactly as I do, so thank you so much for putting them on three times a year. I feel so much more confident going into the industry than I did a week ago.” - Katie H.
