ATLANTA, GA —  The Atlanta Film Society (ATLFS) is excited to announce an award grant from the Fulton County Board of Commissioners through the Fulton County Arts Council and Fulton County Department of Arts & Culture (FCAC) for 2019.

"We are ecstatic to receive this continued support from our home county," said ATLFS Executive Director Christopher Escobar. "This financial support is paramount in our efforts to advocate for diverse voices in film and media arts through our year-round programs and the annual Atlanta Film Festival.”

The mission of ATLFS is to connect, educate, and engage audiences with the creative industry by supporting artists and providing a platform for their work. The primary operation of ATLFS is the annual Atlanta Film Festival each spring, which celebrated its 43rd edition April 4 - 14, 2019. The organization heavily relies on grant funding, sponsor support, patrons and members for year-round programming such as workshops, festivals, networking events and film screenings.

The Fulton County Arts Council and the Fulton County Department of Arts & Culture serves as Georgia’s largest county’s funding agency to support cultural programs and the agency which provides services to Fulton County based nonprofit arts organizations. The mission of the FCAC is to insure all citizens’ access to the arts.
