Atlanta Film Society to Receive $20,000 Grant from the National Endowment for the Arts

Atlanta Film Society (ATLFS) has been approved for a $20,000 Grants for Arts Projects award to support the 2021 Atlanta Film Festival (ATLFF). This project will help support Georgia’s fast growing film industry, one of the largest production locations in the world. The Atlanta Film Festival grant is among 1,073 projects across America totaling nearly $25 million that were selected during this first round of fiscal year 2021 funding in the Grants for Arts Projects funding category.

“The National Endowment for the Arts is proud to support this project from The Atlanta Film Society,” said Arts Endowment Acting Chairman, Ann Eilers. “ATLFS is among the arts organizations across the country that have demonstrated creativity, excellence, and resilience during this very challenging year.”

“We’re thrilled by the opportunities this grant will open for us. As an art nonprofit, we’ve been hit hard by the effects of the pandemic. The ongoing support of NEA allows us to continue our mission to connect, educate, and engage audiences with the creative industry by supporting artists and providing a platform for their work”, said ATLFS Executive Director, Chris Escobar.
